Lisa is a native Vermonter who grew up in Fairfax and continues to reside there with her husband, Don.  After graduating from the Center for Technology – Essex dental assisting program in 1993, Lisa has spent almost her entire dental assisting career at Kenworthy Dental.  Over the years she has helped out in many different areas of the office.  Today she enjoys working mainly with Dr Kenworthy treating patients that suffer from sleep apnea.  She finds this work to be very rewarding. Lisa is a mother of four grown children and has seven grandchildren.  In her spare time she enjoys being outside walking with her dog, Bama, playing with her grandchildren, or working in her flower gardens.  Vacationing with her husband, especially to anyplace warm with a beach is also something she enjoys.

Laura-Dental Assistant

Laura has been a dental assistant since graduating from The Center Of Technology Essex in 2010, working with Dr. Niles nearly all of her career!  She prides herself in helping people overcome dental anxiety and has a passion for making sure each patient is comfortable during treatment.  She is a native Vermonter originally from Fair Haven and now currently living in Essex.  In her free time Laura can be found with her son Cameron and black lab Rudy.  She enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, and any activity that takes the family outside!

Having grown up in Fletcher, Meagan is a native of Vermont.  She graduated from the VTC-Williston Dental Hygiene program in 2010.  After having an initial career as a Recreation Management Specialist, dental hygiene was a second career choice for Meagan.  She feels being a dental hygienist at Kenworthy Dental is where she was meant to be.  She truly enjoys interacting with patients and helping them achieve optimal oral health in a way that works with their busy lifestyles.  She takes pleasure in seeing all patients ages 1-99, and the small children hold a special place in her heart.  Perhaps because she is immersed in all things young, with a young daughter and baby son at home!  Her family enjoys playing outside, riding bikes, walking/running, and trying to convince their two crazy dogs, Oscar and Remi, to “drop the ball” so they can play.  She looks forward to meeting and working with you to achieve your dental goals.

Jane is a native Vermonter, born and raised in Burlington.  She graduated in 1978 from the University of Vermont’s Dental Hygiene Program.  She and her husband, Tom, have been married for thirty five years and reside in Essex with their dog, Emmie.  Their family includes two grown children, Sarah and Chris along with their son-in-law Aaron, and “grand dog”, Buddy.  Jane enjoys spending time with family, reading, baking, gardening, and walking.  She especially enjoys relaxing Oceanside vacations at Cape Cod, Maine, Florida, and North Carolina.

Through her twenty plus years as a Dental Hygienist with the Kenworthy Dental Team (her second family!), she has had the opportunity to meet many wonderful patients and see some young patients grow into fine young men and women with exciting careers and families of their own.  She feels privileged to be an integral part of such a caring dental team.

Dental Hygiene has been Mary’s passion for the past 40 years!  She graduated Cum Laude, from the UVM School of Dental Hygiene in 1976, with an A.S. degree and then continued on for her B.S. degree in Human Development/Health Education in 1978.  After graduation, she soon became active in the VT Dental Hygienists’ Association, serving on many committees, in leadership positions and serving as their President from 2009-2010.  She has also served on the VT Board of Dental Examiners, Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners, and Commission on Dental Competency Assessments.  Mary currently divides her professional life as a Dental Hygienist with Dr. Kenworthy and Dr. Niles and also as a Clinical Dental Hygiene Instructor at the VT Technical College Dental Hygiene Program.  Her other interests include instrumental music, walking/hiking (especially in the Southwest, USA!), flower gardening, reading, crafting, kayaking and paddle boarding.  For the past 15 years, she has enjoyed volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House Charities at their Family Room on Baird 5 – UVM Medical Center.  Summer weekends are spent relaxing on Lake Champlain at her camp in Grand Isle.  Join us in congratulating Mary on her receipt of the 2014 Vermont Dental Hygienist of the Year Award!
